All of us have purchased some type of product to use around the house or outside in the yard. Once we open the box there are instructions inside that provide us with information about assembling the product or how to use it. Well, I purchased an electric chain saw from Harbour Freight in my hometown. Now I know how to use a chain saw but this time I found it very interesting that this tag was hanging on it. So I read it & proceeded to follow the directions. Well after a successful use of the chain saw. My job was complete. A few days later, I was sitting in my living room & I noticed the tag that I had taken off & as I threw it away. I felt led to retrieve it out the garbage can & read it again. At that moment I knew it was the Holy Spirit that led me to get it & reread it & WOWWW! Did He give me a revelation for us as Christians.
The first thing I noticed were the words at the top of the tag that said "IMPORTANT" which prompted me to read it again carefully. Then it read in all caps. "RISK OF PERMANENT DAMAGE!"... What risk could possibly happen to the chain saw? Well if you read further it tells you to "Add correct amount of bar & chain oil BEFORE first use... Ahhhh there it is.... If you don't add the correct amount of bar & chain oil BEFORE you begin using it. You can cause damage to the equipment (motor) or the chain breaks by getting jammed in a log or limb. Also if the chain saw got stuck & kicked back while operating it you could cause injury to yourself. Then it said. "Check oil level before every use. Monitor oil level during use." And finally in bold letters it said. "Operating with low oil or no oil causes permanent damage and VOIDS WARRANTY."
HERE ARE MY POINTS FOR US AS BELIEVERS
It is IMPORTANT that we read the owners manual (bible) in order to know how to properly & effectively live the way God desires us to. It's also IMPORTANT to read the bible to know your benefits, promises, the authority, & power that are ours through Jesus Christ. Furthermore it's IMPORTANT to read the bible to make a daily deposit in your spirit & to have your mind renewed.
RISK OF PERMANENT DAMAGE can happen to us & others connected to us spiritually & even physically when we attempt to do things "OUR WAY & not GOD's WAY."
As believers we all have the Holy Spirit. I'm not here to debate denominational or theological teachings but I do know every believer has the Holy Spirit according to Romans 8:11, But if the Spirit of him (God) that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his (God's) Spirit that dwelleth in you.. Now saying that. ADD the correct amount of oil daily BEFORE you start your day. Pray, Read, Worship, Sing songs of praise. Make melody in your heart to or about the Lord. Make sure that you operate & are led by the Holy Spirit. The reason for this is because Jesus said in John 16:13, Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit), is come, he will GUIDE you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: AND he will show you things to come. We are also encouraged by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:18, And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be FILLED with the Spirit. We have to be led & filled with the Spirit in order to function properly in this world in whatever capacity God allows us & calls us to. Let me say this. I am not talking simply about "ministry or church organizations." We should know that but, Do you not know, the Holy Spirit operates inside of you 24/7, 365. He wants to use you wherever you go.
CHECK OIL LEVEL BEFORE EACH USE AND MONITOR OIL LEVEL DURING USE. I encourage each of us to check & monitor our OIL LEVEL whether we're filled with the Spirit or not. If we are low on oil then STOP & get a refilling. How do we get refilled? Simply ask God to refill you with His Spirit. (It's nothing deep about it.) Take some time to yourself & rest. Don't burn yourself out and continue operating. You don't have to try & impress people that you are anointed!!!! Once again, Make sure before you begin the day & during the day check your OIL LEVEL. It is our responsibility to monitor our OIL LEVEL. It is our duty to listen & be led by the Holy Spirit. You know when you're weak, tempted, stressed, frustrated, or just not having a good day. Check your OIL LEVEL. You don't want to continue operating on LOW OIL or NO OIL.
OPERATING ON LOW OIL OR NO OIL CAUSES PERMANENT DAMAGE & VOIDS WARRANTY. Remember as a child of God, You have to monitor your oil level. Here are some suggestions.... 1. Stop using your oil on people that don't value the oil in and on your life. 2. Stop trying to be like someone else and operating in an area where the oil will not flow through you. 3. Stop trying to please everybody or fit into a group because you will waste your oil. You will end up causing PERMANENT DAMAGE to yourself and others when you operate on LOW OIL or NO OIL. Not only that you will VOID your WARRANTY. I'm NOT talking about losing your salvation. I am referring to the PROMISES & BLESSINGS that God has already prepared for you. You will miss out on some of them when you operate on LOW OIL or NO OIL.
